In this tutorial, Today I will explain to how to upload placeholder images in Magento 2. A Place holder images means when any images not add in products at that time, that default place holder images will be display in that product.
We can say that it’s one type of temporary image to display in product. If any place holder images will be not set then, by default Magento’s image will be display. So, now let’s see the steps to set place holder images.

Steps of Upload Placeholder Images in Magento 2 :
- Login in Admin Panel.
- Go to Stores -> Configuration -> Catalog -> Catalog and expand Product Image Placeholders fieldset
- Upload Images based on Image Role and Save Configuration.
That’s it !!!
You can set base, small, swatch and thumbnail images separately also for product’s default placeholder images.
